21 March 2025Astrophotography made easy.  The ZWO Seestar S30 Smart Telescope changes the rules of astrophotography.From the simplicity of the setup procedure to viewing your results, the whole process is an absolute breeze. The unit itself is super compact, robust and well constructed using premium materials. Every aspect of the design feels carefully considered, giving the best possible results. Used in conjunction with the Seestar APP, the process of finding and capturing a target in the night sky is intuitive and extremely user-friendly.Comparing it with the traditional setup I would normally use, it has none of the complications and time-consuming alignment requirements associated with astrophotography. Power it up, connect it to your smartphone and after a few simple calibration steps, you're photographing nebulae or other deep sky objects. Don't misunderstand me, there is still a place for a good quality astronomical telescope.The Seestar has too wide a field of view for viewing the planets with any detail but, for deep sky, lunar and solar photography, the Seestar S30 Smart Telescope is quite simply breathtaking. Did I mention the price ? Whether you're new to astrophotography or you already have your own setup, you'll know that this can be a costly pastime. I know this is an obvious one for anyone who's ever done a bit of astrophotography, but for a total newcomer it was amazing, completely and utterly amazing! And this was from my front garden!
