Not too long ago, Conspit surprised us with their new APEX bundle, consisting of the ARES APEX 8 Nm wheelbase, the 310 APEX steering wheel, and the CPP APEX 2-pedal set. They have also announced a significant price reduction of almost 30% for this bundle, bringing the price down to just €616.00 excluding VAT and shipping. You would think Conspit had done enough for the simracing market for a while, but nothing could be further from the truth.

This is where the new Conspit CHS shifter comes into play. Conspit recently contacted us with the announcement and pre-production photos of this shifter, asking if we would like to receive a unit to test and share our opinion on it. As usual, our answer was predictable.

The Conspit CHS shifter is a simracing shifter featuring both a 7-speed H-pattern mode and a mode that allows it to function as a sequential shifter. The shifter comes with a price tag of €369.00 including VAT and excluding shipping, and is available from the Conspit webshop.

Once the box has been inspected, it is time to open it.

We open the CHS product box by lifting the flap. The first thing waiting for us inside is perhaps our favourite detail of Conspit’s packaging: a beautiful, semi-transparent mat featuring sketches of the product that awaits us inside the box. This sketch also features colourful accents in yellow, green, and blue.

Under this mat, we find a layer of black foam containing a small black box with the Conspit logo on it. Inside, we find a set of Conspit stickers, a QR code for the manual, a warranty card, a stamped QA sticker, and a black plate that can be fitted to the right side of the shifter to make the window in the shifter housing opaque.

We remove the layer of black foam and immediately see the shifter nestled in a precisely cut piece of black foam. In addition, we find the elongated shift knob, a…
