The FlightScope Mevo Gen2 and Mevo+ are both fantastic products in the personal launch monitor market, but they cater to slightly different needs and budgets. The Mevo Gen2 is a newer, more compact model with a launch price of $1,299 that is priced above the Mevo+, currently selling for $1,099 and the original Mevo, priced at $315. It can be used indoors or outdoors, offers portability, pro-level tracking, golf simulation with eight TruGolf E6 premium courses, and great value. It is designed for golfers who want robust data and simulation features without stepping into the higher price brackets. In contrast, the Mevo+ is FlightScope’s more established premium option offering more professional features relevant for teachers, coaches, and club fitters, along with a more complete data set.

Both models utilize FlightScope’s Fusion Tracking technology, which combines 3D Doppler radar with high-speed image processing to provide accurate data indoors and out. The Mevo Gen2 tracks 18 data parameters, including carry distance, roll distance, total distance, ball and club speed, smash factor, horizontal and vertical launch, spin rate, spin axis, apex height, flight time, lateral long, angle of attack, and shot type. For chipping, it provides all of the above except shot type, and for putting, it provides launch speed, total distance, and ball direction.

The Mevo+ comes standard with 17+ core parameters, including: ball speed, club head speed, smash factor, carry distance, launch angle, spin rate, apex height, flight time, angle of attack, spin loft, launch direction, spin axis, roll distance, total distance, lateral landing, shot dispersion, and shot type. Both the Gen2 and the Mevo+ can be upgraded via the Pro Package and Face Impact Location software to include 11 additional advanced data points, such as face-to-path, face to target, dynamic loft, club path, vertical swing plane, horizontal swing plane, low-point, vertical descent angle, curve, club speed profile, and club acceleration profile. This upgrade comes at an additional cost of around $1,000.

In terms of hardware, the Mevo Gen2 has a notable edge in portability and battery life. It offers up to six hours of battery life and supports USB-C fast charging, making it an excellent option for golfers on the go.
