Atelic's Venice Marco Polo Airport adds a highly detailed recreation of Venice's main international airport to MSFS 2024, including fully modeled terminal interiors with check-in, security, shops, and gates. The scenery features accurate ground polygons by Jakub Łukaszewski with realistic wear and weathering, animated boat traffic to nearby islands, a detailed boat terminal, and animated airport vehicles. Excerpt from Threshold
After announcing it in September, Atelic has now released Venice Airport (IATA: VCE, ICAO: LIPZ) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
The release comes after Aerosoft announced its own version of Venice, but that is still to come.
Atelic says their rendition is built on the 2026 layout and includes the latest terminal extension, fully modelled airport and boat terminal interiors, with check-in, security, duty-free shops, lounges and boarding gates, animated boat traffic to the historic old town, and versions for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
Ground polygons are made by Jakub Łukaszewski, and are described as highly detailed, with accurate markings and stand layouts, as well as realistic wear and weathering.
Atelic has also modelled other airport buildings, boatyards, and custom terrain to blend the airport with the lagoon marshlands surrounding it.
Animated airport vehicles and scenery are included, and the scenery is optimised for performance, with a scenery configurator to customise detail settings.
Marco Polo Airport is situated on the border of the Venetian Lagoon and is Venice’s main international airport; it is also served by the nearby Treviso airport, which is secondary. It has connections to many European urban areas, and seasonal flights to North America, South Korea and the Middle East.
Notable airlines include Wizz Air, Volotea, Ryanair and easyJet, and the airport has two runways, 2,780/3,300 metres (9,121/10,827 ft) in length.
