Quick summary· AI-generated

Echo 19's new TBM 850 Precision Audio Pack completely overhauls the sound environment for Black Square's TBM 850 in MSFS 2024, using recordings from two real aircraft. The package includes rebuilt Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine sounds, four-blade propeller audio with dynamic variation, reworked cockpit and system audio (switches, buttons, levers, warning chimes, fuel systems), and new ground/exterior effects. Features the company's EchoFX framework with spatial audio and environmental reactivity, plus two custom liveries. Released August 27, 2026.

Echo 19 Audio Production released the new TBM 850 “Precision Audio Pack” a few days ago, a package promising a complete sound overhaul for Black Square’s TBM 850 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The pack was released on Aug. 27 and is built from recordings captured from two real TBM 850 aircraft, Echo 19 states.

Echo 19 says the aim was to replace the aircraft’s existing sound environment entirely.

Echo 19’s package features a rebuilt Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine sound set, alongside new audio for the four-blade propeller.

The propeller sounds vary with operating conditions, which include beta range, feathering, ground resonance, and other factors.

The cockpit and aircraft-system audio has been reworked; this includes switches, buttons, levers, doors, warning chimes, bleed air, blower fans, gyros, the inertial separator, fuel systems, and environmental controls.

New effects have also been added for ground roll, touchdown, and walkaround inspections, ground equipment, turbine surges, and engine fires.

The exterior sound environment has been reworked with separate directional, flyby, and distant effects, and other TBM aircraft can also be heard in AI traffic or multiplayer, using their own dedicated sound set.

A built-in headphone simulation can also be enabled via the aircraft’s intercom controls, thereby reducing ambient noise.

The sound package used Echo 19’s “EchoFX” framework, an infrastructure that allows sounds to react to aircraft movement, G-forces, weather, altitude, and the surrounding environment.

EchoFX also supports spatial audio, including three-dimensional positioning of sound sources around the aircraft.

Two custom TBM 850 liveries are also included in the package, free of charge.

Below is the complete feature list, as copied from Echo 19’s website.
