Synaptic Simulations/iniBuilds Update A220 for MSFS 2020/2024

Threshold

Quick summary· AI-generated

The A220 v1.0.6 update prioritizes performance and stability with significant geometry optimization (1M fewer vertices at full LOD) designed to reduce stutters without visual degradation. Avionics fixes address WASM crashes in leg-menu navigation, missing indications during Active Pause, altitude-tape display bugs, heading-select artifacts, and controller input issues. Interior and exterior occlusion rendering is corrected, and EFB Navigraph integration is improved. The update is live on the MSFS Marketplace.

Synaptic Simulations has released version 1.0.6 of their A220, an update focused on performance, stability, avionics patches, and visual improvements, notably in vertex count.

The update is available now through the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024 in-sim Marketplace.

Synaptic says they have made further optimisation rounds to the airframe’s Rust-based backend code, and the visual model has been reduced by approximately one million vortices, at LOD 0 (fully loaded in), including shadow geometry.

This was achieved without a noticeable reduction in visual quality and is intended to help reduce stutters, Synaptic says.

Several avionics and system issues have been addressed, including a WASM crash that could occur when opening the leg menu page, missing avionics indications whilst using MSFS Active Pause, and an issue that could cause post-flight checklists to appear after pausing, whilst still airborne.

The PFD has received a bug fix for an altitude-tape issue that incorrectly hid the ten-thousands placeholder above 1,500 feet.

Synaptic has also corrected the heading-select line that appeared when initially using MAP mode, the cooling inlet not defaulting to OFF in a cold-and-dark state, and an issue where pressing the B button on a controller caused the displays to black out.

Moving on, interior occlusion when viewing the aircraft externally has been corrected, and the forward window view should no longer leave the cabin panel walls missing on either side.

Other changes include improvements to the EFB’s Navigraph integration.
