Quick summary· AI-generated

BlueBird Simulations published an updated feature breakdown for their forthcoming 757 study-level aircraft for MSFS. The addon includes custom-coded systems covering air conditioning, autopilot, electrical (500+ circuit breakers), flight controls, fuel, hydraulics, and more; an FMC integrating SimBrief and Navigraph; LNAV/VNAV autopilot with autoland; an integrated EFB with flight planning and system monitoring; a detailed exterior with 100,000+ rivets and landing-gear animations; a virtual cockpit with 1,000+ button/switch animations; and 450+ cockpit sound recordings plus cabin, exterior, and system audio. The flight model accounts for winglet configurations and ground effect.

BlueBird Simulations has published an updated feature list for their upcoming 757 that outlines the aircraft’s simulated systems, cockpit functionality, EFB, flight model, visual features, and sound design. The feature list builds on the previously announced features of the upcoming aircraft.

The 757 will include custom-coded systems covering air conditioning, autopilot, electrical, flight controls, fuel, hydraulics, ice and rain protection, navigation, oxygen, pneumatics, the APU, doors, and engines.

The electrical system includes more than 500 mapped circuit breakers, with more than 200 currently functional, alongside simulated relays, contactors, power transfers, and load shedding.

The autopilot will support LNAV/VNAV, RNAV legs, missed approaches, go-arounds, holds, and autoland. The FMC will also integrate SimBrief and Navigraph. Hoppie ACARS will support functions including digital clearance delivery and air-to-air messaging. The aircraft’s EICAS and warning systems include more than 300 simulated EICAS messages.

An integrated EFB will provide aircraft configuration presets, fuel and weight-and-balance information, ground-service controls, maintenance information, weather and NOTAM information, charts, and flight-planning tools. Separate system pages will display the current states of the electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including pressures, quantities, valve positions, and pump states.

The exterior model includes more than 100,000 rivets and screws, along with animations for components including the landing gear, RAT, and outflow valve.

The virtual cockpit contains more than 1,000 animations covering windows, shades, buttons, switches, and knobs. The flight model accounts for differences between winglet and standard-wing configurations and includes ground-effect simulation.

The sound system uses more than 450 cockpit recordings, with additional recordings from the cabin and exterior. System sounds include fuel and hydraulic pumps, packs, cooling and recirculation fans, electrical contactors and relays, EGPWS and TCAS warnings, as well as APU and engine audio.

The aircraft will also include automatically triggered cabin crew and captain announcements, passenger chatter, and sounds associated with G-forces, acceleration, braking, and turbulence.
