Excerpt from Threshold

iniBuilds has shared yet another look at their upcoming Chicago O’Hare (KORD) scenery for MSFS 2024, one of their largest projects to date.

During development, one iniBuilds team member visited O’Hare, allowing the team to gather an updated set of references from around the airport.

These were used to validate and refine several areas of the scenery, including the terminal, gate equipment, signage, and other landside details.

According to iniBuilds, every major area of the airport has received its share of attention, including terminal and concourse buildings, cargo facilities, maintenance zones, support buildings and a network of taxiways.

Chicago O’Hare will also be the first iniBuilds airport to include iniBuilds’ new Multi-Jetway Technology, allowing compatible aircraft to connect to multiple passenger boarding bridges at selected gates.

iniBuilds says the scenery will include hand-crafted ground textures, bespoke runway, taxiway, apron, and landside materials, accurately positioned dynamic airport lighting, custom airport objects, and hundreds of modelled buildings, jetways, and vehicles.

Terminal and concourse areas have also been given bespoke textures, while the ground polygon has been built to match the latest 2026 airport layout.

Also included is real-world taxi signage, a true-to-life landside recreation with custom decals, vegetation, barriers, and infrastructure, as well as an official GSX profile.

The scenery has also been built up using the latest MSFS 2024 SDK features, with optimised LODs, full iniManager compatibility, and performance in mind.

A trailer was also shared, which you can view below.

We do not know an exact release date for Chicago O’Hare, though the airport is currently listed as coming soon.
