iniBuilds Releases A380 Airliner Trailer and Development Update, Global 6000 teased

iniBuilds has just released the first trailer for the highly anticipated A380 Airliner, alongside a detailed June 2026 Aircraft Development Update posted to the iniBuilds forum.

The update was posted as part of iniBuilds’ Summer Surprises 2026 event, which is currently ongoing.

Introductory, iniBuilds summarised recent update work across their existing lineup, including the A350, A340, and TriStar Airliner, reassuring their commitment to the already-released portfolio.

A380 Airliner

As for the A380 Airliner, this has been one of iniBuilds’ earliest and longest-term aircraft ambitions, according to the developer. Since 2019, both the release platform and iniBuilds’ aircraft technology have changed drastically, and iniBuilds says the current iteration of the A380 benefits from several lessons, tools, and workflows developed over the years.

Electronic Flight Bag

The development update starts by focusing on the A380’s next-generation Electronic Flight Bag, which has been redesigned and modernised to more clearly separate aircraft-specific operational tools from external applications. The EFB front page will serve as a hub for quickly accessing the main aircraft functions.

The A380 EFB will also include a new Weight & Balance system that allows payload and fuel figures to be configured directly on the tablet. This, in turn, ties into SimBrief import functionality and will allow for both short and long turnarounds with realistic loading sequences for each.

The EFB is integrated with Navigraph and imports the usual portfolio of tools from previous iterations of the iniBuilds EFB.

Flight Model

iniBuilds also showcased the A380’s flight model, which, due to its immense size, inertia, and double-deck fuselage, presents a new challenge for the team compared to smaller airliners. The A380 uses MSFS 2024’s flight model tech, utilising the sim’s CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) system across the wing, to better simulate airflow over these surfaces and aircraft response in dynamic weather conditions.

The A380 also makes use of MSFS 2024’s fuselage object system, where the simulator recognises the aircraft’s actual physical profile to determine flight characteristics, instead of using a simplified and already determined profile. iniBuilds says this is relevant to the A380, as its rather distinct fuselage profile and engine nacelles create handling characteristics that are quite different from those of other aircraft,…
