SayIntentions.AI has announced three new features at #FSExpoFriday 2026: “Spotting”, “PlateBrief”, and “Backtrack”.
Spotting
“Spotting” is a new feature that, perhaps not too surprisingly, will let you watch other aircraft fly in your simulator. With the spotting feature, you can listen to relevant ATC audio and, with a single hotkey, lock in on the aircraft, provided it is within line of sight.
This feature thus provides a new way to easily follow nearby traffic, departures and arrivals, and the AI controllers’ interactions with them, without manually scouting out each aeroplane. “Spotting” was mentioned in the presentation as becoming available later this month.
PlateBrief
Another feature coming to SayIntentions is “PlateBrief”, a new charts feature developed in partnership with Navigraph. PlateBrief lets you open relevant charts via keyboard shortcuts or voice commands, and then displays the applicable chart on your screen.
PlateBrief will also allow the AI within the program itself to view the chart, where you, as the user,r can then ask the AI questions about what is shown on the chart.
An example was shown live on stage at Flightsimexpo 2026, where a question about the missed approach altitude was posed, and the system then read the chart and provided the relevant information.
PlateBrief is available right now to SayIntentions.AI Partner subscribers, and all users will get access to this feature in the coming weeks.
Backtrack
The last feature announced was “Backtrack,” which lets you rewind your flight if something goes wrong. Instead of restarting the entire flight, you can pick a previous point along your flight path,h and both the aircraft and ATC situation will revert to that point.
If you then miss a call, are unstable on the approach, or aren’t satisfied with your current flying, you can rewind to an earlier moment and try again while ATC accounts for that.
Like PlateBrief, Backtrack is now available to Partner subscribers, with all other users gaining access in a few weeks.
