FlyJSim 737 V4

X-Plane 12 aircraft developer FlyJSim has announced that their 732 TwinJet Version 4 is coming in the first half of June. The V4 update reportedly includes upgrades across the flight dynamics, avionics, and systems and is the most capable offering of the classic 737 to date from the developer.

Some of the custom features include swappable radios, new digital ADF panel, support for Libradio (for realistic radio range and signal), a gravel kit option, custom SP-77 autopilot and UNS-1 FMS, and custom MFD-640 display with weather radar, terrain, moving map and nav data.

Pricing and upgrade path have not been announced yet.

Fokker F70/100 sound preview

Just Flight have posted a short video clip in the last week with a teaser of their upcoming soundscape video for the F70 and F100 Professional aircraft in development.

The video is only available on Facebook and it has just a short preview of what I anticipate will be a release of the full soundscape for the jet. Just Flight tend to post the full soundscape video as part of the lead-up to release so it may well be an indication that they are gearing up towards that.

Rafale start-up video

AzurPoly are continuing to work on their simulation of the Dassault Rafale fighter jet for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The project is in partnership with JFEXP (who is also partnered with Heatblur on their DCS: Rafale project) and the latest video is a showcase of the start-up procedure for the jet showing off both systems and sounds integration.

Which is better in a fight? MiG-15 versus F-86 discussion for IL-2 Korea

In the annals of air combat history, there are classic aircraft rivalries that typify the era of combat that they come from. The Sopwith Camel versus the Fokker Dr.I, the Spitfire versus the Bf109, and in this instance… the F-86 versus the MiG-15. The first generation of jet fighters make for an interesting matchup and in the latest IL-2 Series Korea news we have 1C Game Studios weighing in on the discussion.

What follows is a technical discussion of engine performance, structural load…
